Translating an Iconic Motorcycle Brand into a Retail Environment
Indian Motorcycle has a powerful visual identity rooted in heritage, craftsmanship, and the open road. The retail environment needed to express that character while accommodating motorcycles, apparel, accessories, and branded merchandise within a cohesive space.
Bengazi developed the commercial interior, custom retail fixtures, and lighting design for the project. Every element was considered as part of a complete customer journey—from the presentation of the motorcycles to the organization and visibility of smaller products.
Designing Around the Product
Motorcycle retail presents a unique challenge. Full-size motorcycles require open circulation and strong visual impact, while apparel and accessories need structured displays that make products accessible and easy to explore.
The space was organized to give motorcycles a commanding presence without competing with the surrounding merchandise. Custom display fixtures helped define product categories, guide customers through the store, and maintain a consistent visual language throughout the environment.
Custom Fixtures Built for the Brand
Rather than using generic retail furniture, Bengazi developed fixture solutions around Indian Motorcycle’s products and brand identity.
The displays were designed to support different merchandise formats while creating a unified experience across the store. Their proportions, placement, and functionality were coordinated with the overall interior concept to ensure that every element felt intentional and connected to the brand.
Lighting as Part of the Experience
Lighting was integrated into the commercial design to emphasize motorcycles, improve product visibility, and reinforce the atmosphere of the store.
The lighting strategy helped establish visual hierarchy, highlight key displays, and create contrast between different areas of the retail environment. This allowed the products and brand elements to remain the main focus throughout the customer journey.
